The Project
My project is currently ongoing.
I work with the the local community offering different ways to boost social, emotional and mental wellbeing through creative mindfulness mediums.
For example some of these include art for wellbeing workshops for adults, children and families, women's wellbeing and journaling workshops, film screenings, community fun days and selfcare holistic treatments.

The Project
To document the past and present traditions of the people of Zimbabwe.
Sitting down with the elders within my paternal and maternal family in Harare, Gweru, Bikita, Masvingo, and Bulawayo.
This would involve documenting the cultural food, traditional clothing, folklore stories, traditional houses and my family tree. Which would be done through visual photography, auditory and visual interviews.
Soulful Roots

The Project
"Soulful Roots." isn't your typical creative project; it's more like a yearlong adventure into the heart and soul of African and Caribbean traditions.
It's Lavinia diving deep into the stories, rituals, and everyday living that make these cultures what they are.
Why am I doing this?
Because I believe in celebrating the unique stories each culture brings to the table. And who knows, maybe by the end of this, we'll have a better appreciation for the beautiful richness that makes us who we are.
